Dr. Alisa Hurwitz, aka Dr. Drama, is a clinical psychologist with a lifelong passion for musical theater. Through interviews, articles, and live events, she explores the way musicals express our inner lives and provides mental health insight about shows and characters, both from classic musical theater and modern musicals. She has been a lecturer at such events as BroadwayCon, Cultural Arts Playhouse, and the New York State Psychological Association and a contributor to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, OnStage Blog, and Shrink Tank.
